Hugo Bodory holds a PhD in Economics and Finance from the University of St.Gallen. He is a research associate for Data and Method Consulting, with a focus on «Data Analysis». He does research on the development of new econometric methods at the Swiss Institute for Empirical Economic Research. Hugo also deals with the implementation of IT infrastructure. He consults on Cloud Computing for usage of virtual machines. He also advises on the research design for econometric methods and the use of software for data analysis.

Syllabus:
Day 1 – Fundamentals in Python: Operators, data types, control flow, style guide.
Day 2 – Introduction to PANDAS (Python Data Analysis Library).
Day 3 – Introduction to NUMPY (Numerical Python) and MATPLOTLIB (Visualization with Python).
For each topic, we solve small programming tasks in class and discuss possible solutions.
